Awesome little cleaver for the price...

Can't really fault this thing based on how solid it feels and the low cost. The carbon-fiber overlay atop the G-10 looks great but it's pretty slippery. The ergonomics could be better, but again for this price it's awesome. Flipping action is decent & smooth, and the grind is slicey with such a tiny secondary bevel (have not had it long enough to sharpen, though).

thing I wonder is if this is actually true "Damasteel" because the spine of the blade shows none of the layered patterns, which is what I am used to seeing on other (much more expensive) Damasteel blades...I would love to know where they source their stock steel from, or if they just make something cosmetically similar-looking back home in China.
Regardless, I am happy with my purchase and of course BHQ service was top-notch, as always.
