So far so good. I live in SW Montana, so the ambient humidity stays low on average, but corrosion still happens. Have used it on my active blade rotation and it does not ware off easily and tends to "season" the metal. Applying it and then heating the steel helps the process of sealing the metal over time and reduces the collection of fuzz and small debris matter. I am grateful… read more it is non toxic and that is one of the reasons that I bought it. Does not stink up your house like other petroleum based products. Seems to behave the same on these common steels: O1, A2, 5160, 52100, 1095 or other 10 series steels, and less common steels like S7, SR101. A little goes a long way, too.
