Reset may stop blade from locking in out position
Ok, it's a decent knife. Shipped with very sharp blade. the blade, like most S&W is thin.
The firing action is pretty good, not incredibly strong, but ok, however, the retraction slide is very close to the thumb firing slide, which sometimes slows the firing action so much, that the blade will not lock open.
I have quite large fingers and thumbs, so this is a problem.…

I'll need a bit of practice to keep my thumb out of the way!
Don't let your nephew try it
Very sharp I let my spastic nephew try it (he's 12 don't worry) he had trouble closing it so i put out my hand , he flailed and i started gushing blood. Cut my pinky down to the bone in a split second. Now i know better, highly recommend
Fun and kind of clunky OTF
This knife is an expensive, but very functional OTF. It has a WWII surplus feel to it. It seems hefty and durable and is a fun knife to have.
You Get What You Pay For
Out of the box this was nice and sharp and a cool OTF in hand. After a couple weeks of daily carry and light use I liked this less and less, it's a noisy/rattle-y knife and definitely not ideal for left-handed folks. After it deployed while in my pocket, I stopped carrying it. I would not recommend this knife, save up for a better OTF if you're really wanting one.
VERY GOOD
Very good and sharp out of the box OTF
highly recommended
Just cool...
There are doubtless many reasons why an equally high quality spring assist knife would be more practical, not the least of which being, you can open and close it with one hand; but for the wow factor, this thin is just beautiful. It's too nice to use for work. I usually carry it to cut fruit or open a stubborn package just so I can pull it out in front of the boys, and that's enough.… read more And hey, it's made by a gun company, which, to a bunch of other gun-guys, just makes sense. Dollar for dollar, I don't think you'll find a nicer out-of-the-front knife.
Rattles?
Bought close to ten OTF knives on here recently. I "want" to really like this, but the thing has a rattle inside of it and the blade is the only one that is loose among the Schrade, S&W and AKC OTF's I have bought. You aint sneaking around with this thing playing ninja! Not sure it is bad enough to return, just arrived a few hours ago but buyer beware.
Good but..
Overall I'm happy with the knife, feels good, operates well but.. once open, the plastic piece covering the metal slide to close the knife is ready to fall off any day now. In the event it does come all the way off, it will be uncomfortable to close. This is not an everyday carry for me but definitely a very cool knife.
Awesome
Did not have high expectations for this knife but it has blown me away I love it.
It's fun, fast, and it looks the buisness.
Exactly What I Expected
I ordered a decent, single action switchblade/OTF knife with a decent blade steel and that's exactly what I got. I've been using it around my woodshop all day for various cutting and shaving tasks, and I have zero issues with it. The tip of the blade didn't break off like I've had issues with in the past with other knives, the action is sharp and the safety is working perfectly,… read more despite my attempts to force it to fail via throwing it around. A very good knife, especially for the sale price. I would likely pay the full price of $70 for it, but I would have thought a lot harder. For $40, you aren't going to be able to beat it. Just be aware that it is a single action OTF, and has the pros and cons of that.
Pretty Great for Price
For only $40 it is great quality. Probably my favorite knife to fidget with
Almost perfect
Looks good feels good but the lock broke in less than 24 hours of opening the box so it fails to deploy occasionally
Nice blade for the price
For a 40 dollar knife I cant complain. Its a little bigger than I thought but thats ok, I have larger hands. And I can also do one handed manipulations pretty easily. The blade has a little play, but thats to be expected from this type of automatic, assisted, or whatever you want to call it type knife. The AUS8 blade is super sharp. I would definitely recommend this if you want… read more to enter the auto/assisted knife world and not break the bank. Would but again.
