The Silent Hero is an Anton Du Plessis designed fixed blade that is very versatile, making it an ideal knife for bushcraft, survival, and tactical purposes. It is large and tough enough to function as chop with, while still being small enough to perform some more deliCATe taSKS, making this knife a great one tool option.Built in TOPS Knives fashion, the Silent Hero has a 1095 steel blade with an urban camo finish. The handle is fitted with linen Micarta scales with the iconic TOPS Rocky Mountain Tread for an uncompromising all-weather grip. Two lanyard holes, one in the handle along with another in the finger guard, give the user the option to add a safety cord or for lashing to a spear when the situation warrants it. The black leather sheath is durable and looks great paired with this knife. The Silent Hero is held in place with a single snap loop that curls around the finger guard.The Silent Hero was designed by Anton Du Plessis, who is the Chief of Operations for the Specialized Interdiction Unit of the Silent Heroes Foundation. His task is to Combat the poaching crisis in South Africa. This knife has to be durable, versatile, and able to fill Antons needs in the field, which affected the design of the blade and the handle. It will definitely hold up to hard use. It is the intention at TOPS to ensure that a portion of all sales of this knife are used to help the Silent Heroes Foundation in their endeavors.
