This MODel of the CIVIVI Anthropos comes with a satin finished D2 steel blade. The handle is comprised of black G-10 with a carbon fiber overlay.Elijah Isham is at it again, this time working with CIVIVI to bring you the Anthropos folding knife. It features G-10 and carbon fiber scales over stainless steel liners. The low profile fLipper tab hides in the handle when the knife is open; which, by the way, is buttery smooth, thanks to the ball-bearing pivot system. Looks great, not great for larger hands

This knife looks great and is a nice little slicer. However, the handle is just too small for my large(ish) hands. The flipper tab is definitely very abrasive... perhaps touching it on a polishing stone might help? Though I think this knife is a good value for the cost, I ultimately gave it away to someone else. After having this knife for a solid 2 month, I have to say that I’m disappointed.
While the visual appearance of the knife is sleek and unique, and the ergonomics of the handle are comfortable, there are many structural flaws. To start, the vertical flipper is extremely small and designed with very abrasive gimping on it (something that isn’t described). Over the first few…

weeks of using the knife, you will have to build a painful callus on your pointer finger. In turn, the detent ball sits very deep in its hole making the blade sticky and difficult to deploy. Once past the detent ball, the blade has fairly smooth action to the opening position and has a solid lockup. Unfortunately, this will be short lived as the blade centering is constantly moving out of place requiring readjustment of the pivot screw every few days. I currently own and have handled many knives within this price range. This knife does not feel or function towards what it costs. In conclusion, this knife is a love, hate relationship.
