Decent but could be better.

I bought this knife on sale. The carbon fiber is way slicker than I expected. The knife could really use more grip. The action is good although at first it was a bit sticky. The biggest issue I had was it came out of the box way dull. It's almost like they put the initial grind on it and then forgot to polish. I fixed this issue with about 10 minutes on the Edge Pro and the D2 sharpened read more nicely. The body of the knife also gets a bit thick with the liners and the thick carbon fiber panels on the outside. I wish bladehq would take pictures of their knives so the thickness could be seen easily. I think their are better knives in this price point ie. Kershaw Link with 20CV.

Birthday blade

Bought this as a birthday present for my Dad, but I had to try it out first. Light weight, sleek design, fits the hand well. The tiny flipper took some practice getting it to open up all the way. I enjoyed the feel of the handle with the carbon fiber, very smooth. It's a neat design.

Amazing action

This knife is really pretty to look at, really great ergos, and the action is off the charts, but that's to be expected with a Civivi. Great knife for a fun and even classy carry.

Not a favorite

Parts and build are fine as usual for this brand; however, this model has a couple of issues:
1. If you have large hands, the handle is probably too small and the finger choil is not really deep enough if you choose to use it.
2. I like the deep carry clips, but If ever a knife needed a short clip this is the one! The clip pokes your hand and that's irritating. Why such a read more long clip for such a small knife?
3. Yes, you can open the blade with the triangle shaped cutout, but it's positioned too close to the handle. My thumb bumps the handle whenever I try to roll the blade out.
This is a real design miss in my opinion and is going back.

Another homerun with a twist.

Another great CIVIVI, this time with the added bonus of an Isham design. Again it's thin behind the edge, .015, something that is making CIVIVI one of my favorites. The weird, tiny flipper tab actually works fine, the triangle blade cut out is only for slow rolling open. Great action, ergonomics, A+ fit and finish.
Decided to add this after many complaints I've heard about the read more grip, I wear size L gloves and have no problem getting all my fingers on the grip, even in the handshake grip position. If you're thumb is hitting the scales while using the thumb hole, lower your thumb until it doesn't do this. This is a decorative feature anyway, or should I go knock some stars off my Spyderco Ikuchi because I can't use the spyderhole to open it?
